Walton Horton
Realtor/Broker |  Continuously licensed as a real estate agent and/or broker for over thiry-five years. Originally licensed in Aiken, SC in 1964 she moved to Beaufort in 1971 and has been active ever since in Beaufort and on Lady's Island. She says, "I feel a tremendous kinship to the Lowcountry. Her mother was from Savannah and in addition to her great grandfather, Captain James Boatwright, fought in the battle of Port Royal in 1861 here in Beaufort.
Mrs. Horton was born in Augusta, Georgia but has lived most of her life in South Carolina. She graduated from high school in Spartanburg in 1946 and from Converse College in 1950. She lived in Aiken, married and had four children. She entered the world of Real Estate in 1964 when she became a single parent.
A devoted golfer from childhood Mrs. Horton has achieved many honors in the sport including the high honor of being invited into the South Carolina Golf Hall Of Fame in 1985.
Mrs. Horton has experienced many facets of the real estate business being active in the 1970's in commercial real estate and the sale of motels throughout the southeast, golf course properties and of course residential real estate. "it is easy to sell something you love. I love Beaufort and I love to share those feelings with newcomers, hoping to make this their future home." |
